Last week we tried a new to use recipe and it was a hit! Everyone ate and no one complained, that's all that I really care about. In case you're looking for an easy weeknight dinner, here's a good one!
It took about 40 minutes total to make so for a busy weeknight, it is quick!
- 1 pound ground Italian sausage
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (18-22oz) package of frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 (14-16 oz) jar pizza sauce
- 1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1 (3.5 oz) package pepperoni
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (8 oz) package shredded mozzarella cheese
In a large skillet, over medium heat, brown the sausage until it's cooked through. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes, drain grease.
Remove from heat and add in the uncooked tortellini, pizza sauce, cheddar cheese soup, about 3/4 of the pepperoni, salt, and half of the cheese. Stir to combine and then add to prepared dish.
Top with the remaining cheese and add the pepperoni to the top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
