Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! This week was weird. Colson didn't have school yesterday or today. I've been confused as to what day it is all week! I'm linking up to share some of our favorites from the week!

First things first....another cake! My FAVORITE thing to do lately is bake cakes. I've become obsessed. Thankfully I've only kept one cake home and the rest have been for other people. I'm currently finishing up two more cakes!

Speaking of baking...my hand mixer stopped working in the middle of my baking. Luckily, my mother-in-law let me borrow hers. I started thinking about a stand mixer and my post on Facebook had some passionate posting from a lot of people about their KitchenAid mixers!

 We had parent teacher conferences last night and I always get a little nervous about seeing how my kid is doing in school. I want him to succeed...I know you understand that feeling. Well, I was in tears hearing about how well he's doing. I NEVER enjoyed reading and never felt confident while reading. My boy is above grade level with his reading AND comprehension which is huge!!! I'm so proud of this boy. I hope he always loves to read. Hearing about how well he's doing in school was my FAVORITE from the week!

Our FAVORITE afternoon this week consisted of Dad coming home early from work! We were all excited to see him and pester him. He didn't get any relaxing in, which is why I think he came home!

These two rode to the bus stop to get big brother off the bus!

And the weather was nice enough after a rain storm that the boys all stayed out to play until dinner was ready! My view while making dinner was my FAVORITE!

See all three kiddos playing together is my FAVORITE. Charlee wants to be in the middle of whatever the boys are doing and for the most part, they do a great job of making sure she's happy. I have a feeling this won't last long...

A friend on Instagram shared a recipe for how she makes acai bowls at home and I'm hooked! They are my FAVORITE thing to eat for breakfast now. Charlee loves them also!

Colson earned a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut and so we had those for lunch yesterday and it was so fun to see the excitement when he got to hand over his coupon for a free pizza. He was proud and I was proud! 

Papa Warren came over for a couple hours this week to play. One of my FAVORITE things is watching my grandparents with my kids! They don't realize how lucky they are to have great-grandparents who are actively in their lives!

I mean....how cool is this!

Colson has been talking about the book fair all week. I took him yesterday along with his birthday money. I loved watching him pick out what books he wanted to spend his money on.
