First Day of Kindergarten

We survived!

I always knew Colson would be fine, but I survived without crying in front of him, which was my goal! I don't know why I struggled so much with kindergarten, but it was hard for me!

The night before, we had pizza, per Colson's request. We talked all about school and asked all the first day questions. He told us what he was excited and nervous about. 

Then, he filled out his homework from Mrs. Dunkin.

I love the bottom...nervous about NOTHING! Excited about EVERYTHING!

We took a bath and then read all the kindergarten books before calling it lights out!

He woke up to the first day of school breakfast!

And had waffles, his choice! He said he was too excited to eat but we managed to finish.

We took our first day of school pictures!

A lunchbox because he'll be at school all day!

And a picture of his backpack because it's as big as he is!

Off we go! 

One last picture before heading inside. At this point he said he didn't want to hold my hand anymore and he just wanted me to walk beside him. He also asked if he could start riding the bus to and from school so I wouldn't have to drive him! WHAT?! 

So excited for our year with Mrs. Dunkin!

It was a long day for me, but I was so excited to pick him up!

We went for our celebratory ice cream so he could tell me all about his first day!

From the sounds of it, it's going to be a FANTASTIC year!
