Happy Monday, friends! I could really use another day to recover from our weekend. We had a full weekend but I enjoyed every minute of it! I can't believe we're in the middle of May!
Friday morning started with me decorating a cake. I baked it the night before and I was rather pleased with how it turned out! I love baking and this was a fun project!
Friday afternoon I played in a golf tournament. This picture was from Thursday night golfing but the weather was horrible! It rained and was so windy, right up until the last hole. We came home and did nothing the rest of the evening. We had fun and it was a fundraiser so I'm glad we played.
Saturday morning, Liza and I had a fun morning together. We shopped, laughed, got pedicures and enjoyed lunch together. I cherish her friendship so much!
I picked up the boys and Colson had built and painted an airplane!
We came home and the boys "helped" Dad get the play area ready. Their help didn't last long....
They were hungry and tired so pizza and naps were in order!
This boy was getting ready for bed and he came to see if I'd go outside and watch the sunset with him. I love watching him grow and I hope we continue to have these "moments" although I know I need to set aside my to-do list because soon he will have a busy schedule and not ask me to do these things with him anymore.
Sunday morning, it was just Peyton and I for church. I loved walking out with him holding my hand. I get sad thinking about how "big" he is and how quickly he's growing and then I looked down and saw that sweet blankie....he's still my baby!
As soon as we got home he was out to see the goats!
Check out these glasses he made while we were at church!
The boys spoiled me with flowers, candy, cards, homemade crowns, and a sweet gift from school. I only managed to take a picture of this potholder that Colson made at school.
I loved the poem, and of course it made me cry!
Travis seriously gave me the PERFECT day. Church, Starbucks, and then relaxation! I watched two episodes of Grey's while he cooked and got ready for our families to come over.
This boy joined me for a minute...before running off to stay busy! He's always busy.
And this one joined me after nap. By the way...he slept all night which was one of the best Mother's Day gifts. I'm hoping that his new mattress helps him sleep more!
Our families came and we ate and enjoyed each other's company. Colson wanted s'mores so we had s'mores after dinner. The weather was perfect!
Our evening was relaxing and the perfect end to Mother's Day weekend.
These three spoiled me today but they show me unconditional love everyday and I'm so thankful for that. I couldn't be the mother I am without my husband and without the grace from my boys.
I'm not a perfect mother but everyday I strive to be better than the day before!
I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I'm already thinking about what we can do to celebrate Travis for Father's Day! Here's to another busy week full of baseball and preschool graduation!
Yikes, I can't believe we're already done with preschool!
Have a great week, friends!
