Weekend Recap

This weekend was a good one.
We finally made it to the mountains for a couple of days.

We tried to go up a few weeks ago but Colson got sick, so we ended up coming home.
Friday night we headed to Eagle for dinner with Nana and Papa.

After dinner we went to Cold Stone and Colson had blue ice cream with sprinkles!

I'm certain that if we had a Cold Stone closer, it wouldn't be good!
Colson loves his Nana and Papa!

When we got home I enjoyed some post-bath snuggling!

I had to work on Saturday so after work we headed up to Cascade.

My dad cooked steaks on over the fire, sooo good!

And two deer come onto the property.

After dinner we roasted marshmallows and made smores! One of my favorite ways to spend a summer night!

Smores are so much better with Reeses!

I was putting Colson to bed and he said, "Mom, I'll put my arm around you."

I love that he's can be so sweet at moments and the complete opposite the next!
{I'll document the sweet ones!}
Sunday morning Colson helped Aunt Emy rake up some weeds.

Then, we headed up to the radar dome.

Along the way, Travis showed us the biggest tree he's ever seen.

I'm certain it's the biggest tree I've ever seen too.

Of course Colson wanted to climb it.

[[[All boy!]]]
We made it to the top!

The view is amazing!

Colson loved the snow but wanted nothing to do with his mom taking a thousand pictures.

He just wanted to play!

Colson didn't make it far before falling asleep on the way back to the cabin.

We took a detour and went to check out the view at Travis's parent's place.

They have the {best} view!
We stopped on our way down the canyon at the Whistle Stop Cafe to eat.
Colson was soooo tired! He just put his head on my lap.

We ended the night with a Redbox movie and snuggling on the couch.

It was such a great weekend spent with family.
This morning I turned my planner over only to see a full week of fun!
Hello Summer!
We only have three weeks before we head to Hawaii and a few things left to do to get ready!
